After 15 doses, fully recovered.
IV. Spontaneous Pneumothorax
Formula: derived from Gui Zhi Tang with Hou Po, Xing Ren, and Gu Lou Xie Bai Ban Xia Tang: Gui Zhi, Hou Po, Gan Cao, Sheng Jiang, Chi Shao, Gu Lou Pi, Xie Bai, Zhi Qiao, Xing Ren, Ban Xia, Dan Shen, Huang Qin, Dang Shen, Yuan Zhi. May epekto sa pagpapalawak ng lungs, pagpapalawak ng qi, at pagpapalakas ng circulation. Ginagamit para sa spontaneous pneumothorax na may breathing difficulty, chest tightness, and pain. Formula: derived from Fang Ji Huang Qi Tang, Zhi Shi Xie Bai Gui Zhi Tang, Xiao Xian Xiong Tang: Fang Ji, Huang Qi, Bai Zhu, Gan Cao, Huang Lian, Quan Gu Lou, Ban Xia, Zhi Shi, Xie Bai, Hou Po, Gui Zhi, Bai Ren Shen, Wu Ling Zhi, Dan Shen, Su Zi. May epekto sa pagpapalakas ng heart and lungs, pag-alis ng phlegm turbidity, at pagpapalakas ng blood vessels. Ginagamit para sa pulmonary heart deficiency, blood stasis, qi stagnation, and phlegm obstruction. Isang 53-anyos na babae na may recurring cough and edema nang higit sa 10 taon. Dahil sa malamig na panahon, chest tightness and shortness of breath worsened, breath not continuous, worse with activity, cold intolerance, cyanotic lips, facial and foot edema, poor appetite, bloating, pale purple tender tongue, thin yellow coating, purple swollen sublingual veins, deep wiry and weak pulse. Diagnosis: chronic pulmonary heart disease. After 12 doses, condition improved. Then converted to pills and took for 3 months. Wala nang recurrence for over 3 years.
VI. Cough and Shortness of Breath with Hypertension
Formula: composed of Mai Men Dong Tang, Xuan Fu Hua Tang, Xiao Xian Xiong Tang: Bai Ren Shen, Mai Dong, Ban Xia, Xuan Fu Hua (wrapped), Huang Lian, Quan Gu Lou, Xing Ren, Dan Pi, Zhi Bie Jia, Di Long, Wu Ling Zhi. May epekto sa pagpapalakas ng heart and lungs, pagbaba ng phlegm-fire, at pagpapahinto ng cough and shortness of breath. Ginagamit para sa severe cough and shortness of breath with hypertension, caused by heart-lung deficiency, liver qi rising, phlegm transforming into fire. Isang 55-anyos na lalaki na may cough and shortness of breath nang higit sa 20 taon, coughing when irritated, worsening with anger, accompanied by headache, dizziness, head fullness, tinnitus, facial flushing, chest and rib distention, blood pressure around 160/110 mmHg, purple-red tender tongue with thin yellow peeling coating, weak and slippery pulse, left guan deep and sluggish. After 15 doses, improved. Then made into honey pills and took for 3 months. No recurrence for 3 years.
Respiratory diseases, especially difficult and severe cases, are often caused by viruses, bacteria, allergies, resulting in phlegm, fluid, qi, blood, fire stagnation, with deficiency of righteous qi and excess of evil qi, leading to cough, asthma, edema, etc. Therefore, treatment should follow principles such as "warming medicine harmonizes," "stop reverse and descend qi," using these classic formulas to open yang, dissolve fluid, release phlegm, nourish yin, and maintain smooth circulation—achieving excellent results.
