First boil rice into porridge, then mash green onion and ginger, add to porridge, boil for 5 more minutes, then pour in vinegar, serve immediately while hot, cover up and rest to enhance medicinal effect. After 15 minutes, one feels warmth rising in the stomach, slight sweating all over the body. Take twice daily, morning and evening, continue for 4 days to cure. Used in early stage of cold with nasal congestion, headache, chills, no sweat. 5. Five Gods Decoction for Sweating and Exterior Relief: 10 grams each of schizonepeta and perilla leaf (available at herbal shops), 6 grams of tea leaves, 10 grams of fresh ginger, 30 grams of rock sugar.
