[Drug Composition] Coptis (remove beard) 5 taels, Oyster shell, Chrysanthemum seed, Ginger, Gypsum, Saltpeter, Goji berry, Fraxinus bark, Cornus fruit, Angelica, Scutellaria (remove dark core), Codonopsis, Mirabilis, Licorice (roasted), Peony, Alisma, Cinnamon (remove coarse skin), Celosia seed, Plantain seed, Bamboo leaf, Platycladi seed, Windproof (remove forked parts), Aconite (remove skin and base), Magnolia flower, Ginseng, Ligusticum, Angelica root, Dianthus spike, Peach kernel (remove skin, double kernels, roasted), Chinese cinnamon twig (remove sprouts), Kochia seed (roasted) each 3 taels, Camphor 3 qian, Clove 2 qian, Pearl (without holes) 25 pearls
[Function and Indication] Treats blurred vision and blindness from internal and external obstructions.
[Dosage and Administration] Take half a ladle after meals, do not drink excessively to cause vomiting; gradually increase dosage.
[Preparation Method] Chop the 34 ingredients finely, place in a silk bag, soak in 5 dou of good wine in a jar. Soak 7 days in spring/summer, 14 days in autumn/winter.

Raw Goji Berry Wine
[Drug Composition] Raw goji berries 5 catties
[Function and Indication] Tonifies deficiency, promotes muscle growth, enhances complexion, strengthens physique, removes feverish conditions, delays aging. Suitable for eye diseases such as dim vision, eye dryness, tearing in wind caused by liver and kidney deficiency, and premature aging.
[Dosage and Administration] Start with 3 heaping spoonfuls, then drink freely.
[Preparation Method] Use 2 dou of good wine, crush the berries without breaking them, soak for 7 days, filter out residue.

Resin Wine
[Drug Composition] Pine resin 10 catties
[Function and Indication] Nourishes liver, treats liver deficiency cold, or tears due to high wind.
[Dosage and Administration] Take 1 heaping spoon each time, twice daily.
[Preparation Method] Chop finely, soak in water for a week, boil, carefully collect the upper resin, add more water when exhausted, continue boiling until resin is gone; extinguish fire when smoke clears, let cool; resin settles at bottom, collect 1 catty, ferment 1 sheng of rice with 7 dou of water and 2 dou of good yeast, follow standard home brewing method, cool before adding rice, seal for 100 days; resin, rice, and yeast all dissolve; wine becomes fragrant, drink slowly. This wine requires double the yeast.

Smartweed Wine
[Drug Composition] Smartweed
[Function and Indication] Treats cold stomach preventing eating, poor hearing and sight, edema in limbs, cold feet in winter. After consuming this wine for ten months, eyes become sharp and spirit improves, body becomes strong.
[Dosage and Administration] Drink according to tolerance.
[Preparation Method] Dry smartweed, bundle 5 sheng per bunch, 60 bundles total, boil with 6 shi of water until reduced to 1 shi, filter out residue, brew into wine using standard method.
[Caution] According to "Dietary Therapy" in "Qianjin Formula": "Excessive consumption of smartweed is toxic, causes heart pain. Eating with raw fish causes breathlessness and testicular pain. Women should avoid eating smartweed and garlic during menstruation."

Comment: The "Dietary Therapy" section of the Tang Dynasty's "Qianjin Formula" warns against excessive intake of smartweed, yet praises smartweed wine highly in treating "wind poison foot disease." The Ming Dynasty's "Compendium of Materia Medica" and "Comprehensive Prescriptions for Universal Relief" also state that long-term use can enhance hearing and sight, strengthen the spleen and stomach. Whether this change results from fermentation remains to be further studied.
Rejuvenated Rehmannia Wine
[Drug Composition] Prepared Rehmannia 100g, Evergreen 1.50g, Black mulberry 120g, Black sesame 60g, Huai yam 200g, South Candleberry 30g, Sichuan pepper 30g, Ginkgo nut 15g, Great Victory Seed 45g
[Function and Indication] Liver and kidney deficiency, premature graying hair, declining vision and hearing, early aging.
[Dosage and Administration] Take once in the morning and once in the evening, 1–2 cups warm on empty stomach.
[Preparation Method] Grind the nine ingredients finely, pack in summer white cloth, place in clean container, soak in 2L of good wine for 7 days, then open and filter out residue.
[Caution] Avoid eating radish during medication period.
