Dr. Liu, based on differing clinical presentations of endometriosis before and after menstruation, devised three formulas: pre-menstrual, menstrual, and post-menstrual. The post-menstrual formula specifically targets hardening and stasis, thus designated as the main formula. Dr. Liu observed that most cases were cold-type, accounting for 76.6%, so this formula is designed for cold-congealed blood stasis. For cases involving qi deficiency with blood stasis or yin deficiency with blood stasis, adjustments can be made according to symptoms.
