Seven Treasure Drink

【Alternate Names】Seven Treasure Powder (Formulas of the Yang Family Collection, Volume 3), Seven Treasure Decoction (Easy Formula), Antimalarial Seven Treasure Drink (Correct Medical Practice, Volume 2).
【Composition】Equal parts of magnolia bark (prepared with ginger juice), tangerine peel, licorice (honey-fried), cardamom seed, constant mountain (chicken bone type), betel nut, green tangerine peel
【Usage】Chew and cut the herbs. Take 15g per dose, mix with 250ml water and 70ml wine, decoct to 160ml, filter out residue, leave overnight, warm and take early morning. Lie down briefly. If cold predominates, increase wine; if heat predominates, increase water. Use slow fire until fully cooked. No vomiting or diarrhea should occur; one dose is effective.
【Indications】All types of malaria, regardless of cold or heat, frequency, or timing—daily or every other day. Also applicable for cases due to unsuitable environment, mountain miasma, or symptoms resembling malaria.
【Contraindications】After taking medicine, avoid drinking hot tea for one day. Not suitable for those with weak constitution or pre-existing spleen-stomach deficiency-cold. |
