Black Carp Ointment
【Source】Chapter 22 of "Qianjin Yifang" (Essential Prescriptions Worth a Thousand Gold).
【Composition】1 black carp
【Usage】Cut open the carp without damaging it, place white salt inside the belly, sew with a needle, then cook over fire in a copper vessel until dry. Grind into powder. Apply to carbuncles and sores. For sores without pus, mix with lard and apply; for those already ruptured, apply dry. Slight pain is normal, do not be alarmed.
【Indications】Bone-attached carbuncle, swelling and heat, whether unruptured or ruptured, or with persistent discharge that fails to heal.
