Bai Bu Wine
Bai Bu 120 grams, remove the roots, wash clean, soak in water until soft, cut into pieces, grind into coarse powder, put in a cloth bag, soak in 3 catties of rice wine for 15 days before use. Take 15 ml each time, three times a day. Function: Moistens lungs, stops cough. Can treat chronic bronchitis and asthma.
Zhu Huang Wine
Zhu Huang 30 grams, soak in 1 catty of white wine for 5 days. Take 1 small bowl each time, twice a day. Function: Resolves phlegm, relieves pain. Zhu Huang is the fruiting body of the fungus Zhu Huang from the family of Hypocreaceae, grows on bamboo stems, mainly produced in Sichuan, Anhui, Jiangsu, Zhejiang. Used to treat cough with excessive phlegm, also used for stomach pain. People with nail fungus or hand-foot fungus should avoid taking.
Sheep Pancreas Wine
1 sheep pancreas, 40 jujubes. Remove the pits, take the flesh, chop finely, soak in 20 catties of rice wine for 7 days. Take 30 ml each time, three times a day. Function: Moistens lungs, resolves phlegm. Sheep pancreas is the pancreas of a goat. According to "Benjing Fengyuan," "The sheep pancreas has the same effect as pig pancreas, especially effective in removing phlegm from the lungs." Effective for chronic bronchitis with persistent cough.
Green Onion and Fermented Bean Wine
30 grams of fresh green onion, 15 grams of light soybean paste, 50 grams of yellow wine. Put the soybean paste in a small aluminum pot, add 1 small bowl of water, boil for 10 minutes, then add the cleaned onion (with roots), continue boiling for 5 minutes, then add yellow wine, immediately remove from heat. Drink while hot. Function: Promotes sweating, expels exterior pathogens, dispels cold, harmonizes stomach. Treats external wind-cold invasion, fever, headache, restlessness without sweat, nausea, vomiting.
Yingshan Hong Wine
15 grams of Yingshan Hong, soak in 1 catty of white wine for 5 days. Take 1 bowl each time, twice a day. Function: Stops cough, resolves phlegm. Yingshan Hong is the leaf of Rhododendron simsii, a plant from the Ericaceae family. Pharmacological studies show that mice given essential oil of Yingshan Hong have significant cough-suppressing effects. Its decoction inhibits Staphylococcus aureus in test tubes. Effective for chronic bronchitis with cough and wheezing.
Sang Bai Pi Wine
200 grams of Sang Bai Pi, wash clean, soak in water until soft, cut into strips, dry, soak in 2 catties of rice wine for 7 days before use. Take 20 ml each time, three times a day. Function: Drains lung heat, relieves asthma. Sang Bai Pi is the dried root bark of Morus alba, sweet and cold in nature, clears lung heat, lowers qi, relieves asthma, drains fluid, resolves phlegm, treats lung heat cough and asthma, especially suitable for emphysema with infection, and acute bronchitis with cough and asthma.
Zi Su Zi Wine
600 grams of Zi Su Zi, lightly stir-fried, crushed, placed in a silk bag, soaked in 5 catties of yellow wine for 7 days before use. Take 10 ml each time, twice a day. Function: Lowers qi, relieves asthma, stops cough, resolves phlegm. Treats conditions with abundant phlegm, upward lung qi causing asthma. Due to its slippery nature and tendency to deplete qi, people with yin deficiency and asthma or those with spleen deficiency and loose stools should avoid.
Man Shan Hong Wine
60 grams of Man Shan Hong leaves, crushed, mixed with 1 catty of white wine, soaked for 7 days. Take 20 ml each time, three times a day. Function: Stops cough, removes phlegm. Pharmacological studies suggest it has cough-suppressing, phlegm-removing, and asthma-relieving effects. Clinical observation shows it is excellent for stopping cough, moderate for removing phlegm, poor for relieving asthma. Better for simple type, less effective for wheezing type or with emphysema. Use with caution.
