Yu Lian Wan

【Composition】Equal parts of Evodia rutaecarpa (cleaned), Coptis chinensis (roots and stems removed, chopped into dice-sized pieces)
【Usage】Mix together, soak thoroughly in good wine, then separately dry by roasting or sun-drying. Grind into powder, make pills like tung nuts. Take 30 pills per dose. For red dysentery: take Coptis pills, swallow with licorice decoction; for white dysentery: take Evodia pills, swallow with dry ginger decoction; for mixed red and white dysentery: half of each pill, swallow with licorice and dry ginger decoction.
