Wuxu Huan Shao Dan 【Source】Wanbing Hui Chun, Vol. 5. 【Composition】First-born child’s hair 120 grams (cooked into paste with wine), Chuanwu, He Shou Wu, Cao Wu, Ganqi, Chenzhu, Zhensha each 45 grams, Chuanjiao 135 grams, Yangqishi 60 grams, Hujiao 15 grams, Gouqizi 90 grams, Shengdi Huang 90 grams (soaked in wine), Bozi Ren 90 grams, Taohé Ren 90 grams (sautéed golden with bran), Shexiang 0.9 grams (wrapped in bread and baked over ginger, then roasted with licorice until fully cooked) 【Usage】Mix the nine herbs from Chuanwu to Hujiao into fine powder, combine with child’s hair paste, place in a Yangcheng pot, seal tightly, burn with mulberry wood fire until the pot turns red, bury in cool ground for seven days, then retrieve. Grind the last five herbs—Gouqizi, etc.—into fine powder, mix with previous mixture, blend well. Take 3 grams each time with good wine.
