【Alternate Name】Great Dodder Seed Pill (from "Zheng Zhi Zhun Sheng - Le Fang" Volume 3).
【Composition】Each 30 g: dodder seed (cleaned, soaked in wine), alisma, deer antler (hair removed), filaria, cinnamon bark (coarse skin removed), aconite root (roasted, skin removed), stonecrop (root removed), cooked rehmannia, white poria (skin removed), eucommia (soaked in wine overnight, dried), achyranthes, schisandra fruit, cistanche (soaked in wine, sliced, dried), windproof herb (branches removed), eucommia (coarse skin removed, stir-fried), psoralea (hair removed, wine stir-fried), bai zhu, frankincense, morinda root (heart removed), fennel seed (roasted). Each 23 g: stonecrop, mature rehmannia, white poria (skin removed), eucommia (soaked in wine overnight, dried), achyranthes, schisandra fruit, cistanche (soaked in wine, sliced, dried), windproof herb (branches removed), eucommia (coarse skin removed, stir-fried), psoralea (hair removed, wine stir-fried), bai zhu, frankincense, morinda root (heart removed), fennel seed (roasted). Each 15 g: schisandra fruit, silkworm pupae (soaked in wine), ligusticum, blackberry (branches, leaves, calyx removed).
【Usage】Grind into fine powder, mix with wine-cooked paste to make pills like tangerine seeds. Take 20 pills on an empty stomach with warm wine or salt water; if weakness in legs and knees, use papaya decoction.
【Function】Tonify kidney yang, strengthen waist and knees, consolidate lower energizer.
【Indications】Deficiency of kidney qi, lack of vital yang. Weakness and softness in waist and knees, impotence, nocturnal emission, frequent urination, residual urine after urination, or feeling cold in the waist. |
