【Composition】Sheng Di 10.5g Xuan Shen 15g Mai Dong 9g Huang Qin Lian Qiao each 18g
【Usage】Prepare as a compound preparation totaling 60ml. For those over 10 years old: 25ml per dose, four times daily; reduce to twice daily after two days. For children under 10: 15–20ml per dose.
【Function】Nourish yin, soothe throat, clear heat, detoxify.
【Indication】Diphtheria, acute pharyngitis, acute tonsillitis, and scarlet fever.
【Experimental Research】Toxicity and antibacterial effects. "Tianjin Medical Journal" 1966(4): 243–244. The LD50 test on guinea pigs showed low toxicity. Multiple antibacterial and antitoxin tests confirmed effectiveness: inhibitory effect against Corynebacterium diphtheriae in vitro was 100 lu/ml, bactericidal effect 200 lu/ml, toxin neutralization effect 2000 MRD/ml. |
