Back to Life Ointment
【Source】Volume 6 of "Collected Proven Formulas" (Jí Yàn Liáng Fāng).
【Composition】Sichuan贝母 (Fritillaria cirrhosa), 240 grams; cat's eye herb, summer-sky herb, each 500 grams; sesame oil, 10 liters.
【Usage】Soak the above herbs in oil. Soak 5 days in winter, 3 days in summer, 4 days in spring and autumn. Place in a copper pot and heat over mulberry wood fire—first low, then high—until herbs are completely dried. Strain out residue. Add 750 grams of yellow lead powder, stir until purple, water-wash, then mix into oil. Stir continuously using five branches: peach, willow, mulberry, apricot, and locust. Continue stirring until drop forms pearl-like beads. Apply as ointment on affected area, change three times daily. After application, pus will emerge; unbroken sores will disappear; broken sores will heal quickly.
