Bai Jingyu Eye Medicine

【Composition】Pearl (steamed with tofu) 15 grams, Musk 7.5 grams, Bear bile 60 grams, Borneol 486 grams, Cinnabar 3 grams, Gypsum (calcined) 495 grams, Oyster shell (calcined) 300 grams, Cuttlefish bone (without shell) 283.5 grams
【Usage】Grind into extremely fine powder, sieve, mix thoroughly. Pack into bottles weighing 0.39 grams. Ointment: Add 19.2 kg petrolatum oil, 1.92 kg liquid paraffin, mix well, pack into tubes. Each tube weighs 1.2 grams. Apply with glass needle dipped in cold water to the outer canthus, then add a small amount of medicine (about the size of a millet grain) to the same area. Use 2–3 times daily. Rest after application. Ointment: Squeeze out a small amount and apply to the outer canthus.
【Function】Improve vision, reduce swelling, dispel wind, relieve itching.
【Indications】Sudden red eye, corneal redness, itching around the eyes, ulceration and swelling pain. |
