White Phoenix Drink
【Source】"Brief Discussion on Epidemic Throat Disease."
【Composition】One male white duck with black beak (head, neck, and throat tube kept intact, no punctures, no contact with water), Scrophularia 12 grams, raw Rehmannia 15 grams, snail 2 pieces, earthworm 2 pieces, ancient cash coin 4 pieces, pickled plum 3 pieces, loquat leaf 9 grams (wrapped in gauze).
【Usage】Use fresh fast-flowing river water, 1.5 liters, splash 365 times, boil with reed wood until reduced to 600 ml, skim off oil. Take 200 ml per dose, add 3 grams of persimmon frost, mix well, and drink slowly.
【Function】Nourish yin, moisten lungs, clear heat, detoxify.
【Indications】Epidemic throat disease with white putrefaction, ulceration of epiglottis, foul breath.
【Additions】In spring, add 9 grams of mulberry leaves eaten by silkworms (with many holes); in summer, add 7 lotus flower stalks (including stamens); in autumn, add 9 branches of water chestnut tips (each about 3.3 cm long); in winter, add 10 ml of green juice, or 5 green fruits—remove both ends, crush and add to decoction. |
