Damp-heat in the stomach and intestines Primary manifestation: Red, swollen, painful rashes, accompanied by constipation, yellow urine, poor appetite, bloating, red tongue with greasy yellow coating, slippery rapid pulse. 3. Impaired spleen function Primary manifestation: Rash appears dull red, recurring frequently, possibly accompanied by poor appetite, loose stools, fatigue, thin white coating on the tongue, soft rapid pulse. 4. Stagnation of blood stasis Primary manifestation: Long-standing acne, dark-colored rashes, nodules present, dark tongue with thin white coating, wiry pulse. 5. Deficiency of liver and kidney Primary manifestation: Bright red acne, accompanied by soreness in waist and knees, pale red tongue with thin white coating or little coating, fine pulse. II. Treatment 1. Wind-heat in the lung meridian Method: Dispel wind, clear heat, promote lung function. Prescription: Jingzhe, Hegu, Dazhui, Feishu. Operation: Use filiform needle for draining method at Jingzhe, Hegu, Dazhui. At Feishu, first use three-edged needle for puncturing, then apply cupping. 2. Damp-heat in the stomach and intestines Method: Clear heat, resolve dampness, regulate bowels. Prescription: Quchi, Shangjuxu, Tianshu, Yinlingquan. Operation: Use filiform needle for draining method. 3. Impaired spleen function Method: Strengthen spleen, resolve dampness. Prescription: Sanyinjiao, Zusanli, Hegu, Piyu. Operation: Use filiform needle for tonifying method, can be moxibustion. 4. Stagnation of blood stasis Method: Activate blood circulation, remove stasis, improve complexion. Prescription: Geshu, Neiguan, Sijian, Xuehai, Feishu. Operation: Except for Feishu and Geshu where bloodletting and cupping are applied, all other points use filiform needle for draining method. 5. Deficiency of liver and kidney Method: Tonify liver and kidney. Prescription: Taixi, Sanyinjiao, Ququan, Ganshu, Shenshu. Operation: Use filiform needle for tonifying method.
