[Drug composition] Dog kidney one piece, Goji berries 30g, Cnidium 20g, centipede 3 pieces, white wine (or yellow wine) 1L
[Function and indications] Impotence.
[Dosage and administration] Warmly drink one cup (about 40g) each time, once daily, ten days per course.

Rooster Reproductive Wine
[Drug composition] Rice wine (50-degree) 2.5kg, fresh rooster reproductive organ 200g, Epimedium, Night Crossing Vine, Cistanche, Lu Lu Tong, longan flesh each 100g
[Function and indications] Tonifies kidney, strengthens yang, nourishes essence; treats impotence, premature ejaculation, low sperm count in male infertility.
[Dosage and administration] Oral medicinal wine, drink 20ml each morning and noon on an empty stomach, 40ml before bedtime. One course lasts sixty days.
[Preparation method] Place all ingredients in a bottle, add wine, seal, usable after thirty days. Fresh rooster reproductive organ must not be washed with water or left too long; avoid sunlight; the person extracting must place it directly into wine.
[Precautions] During first course, avoid sexual activity and cold foods like radish, cabbage.

Bar Ji Niu Xi Wine—originally named "Bar Ji Tian Wine"
[Drug composition] Bar Ji Tian, Niuxi each three liang, Goji root bark, Ophiopogon, Rehmannia, Saposhnikovia each two jin
[Function and indications] Treats debility due to functional decline, erectile dysfunction, five labors and seven injuries.
[Dosage and administration] Warmly drink, maintain continuous wine effect, avoid drunkenness and vomiting.
[Preparation method] Use fresh herbs if available; if not, dry ones work too. Mix evenly, soak in one dan and four dou of wine. Soak in spring for seven days, autumn/winter for fourteen days.
[Precautions] Avoid raw, cold, pork, fish, oil, garlic.

Notes: For those with cold constitution, add dried ginger and cinnamon heart each one jin; for severe deficiency, add five flavor berry and epimedium each one jin; for dampness in genital area, add five plus root one jin, if stone orchid available, add one jin. Each added jin of herb increases wine by seven sheng. This wine is prepared annually from mid-August to mid-September, consumed by early October. Another version uses bar ji and fresh niuxi each three jin, grind into powder, soak in five dou of wine, use as previously described. "Qian Jin Yao Fang"
Xian Ling Pi Wine
[Drug composition] Xian Ling Pi one jin, ash-free wine two dou
[Function and indications] Strengthens tendons and bones, enhances sexual function, treats cold waist and knees, partial paralysis, numbness, and low blood pressure.
[Dosage and administration] Drink daily as desired, maintain mild intoxication, avoid drunkenness. When wine runs out, prepare again.
[Preparation method] Place Xian Ling Pi one jin in a bag, soak in two dou of ash-free wine, seal for three days.
[Precautions] Avoid for those with yin deficiency, excessive libido, or hypertension.

Notes: Xian Ling Pi is also known as Epimedium. Modern pharmacology confirms it promotes seminal secretion; when seminal vesicles are full, it stimulates sensory nerves, indirectly exciting libido.
Er Xian Wine
[Drug composition] Cistanche (soaked in rice water) 120g, Epimedium 120g, Five Plus Bark 120g, longan flesh one hundred pieces
[Function and indications] Used for impotence due to kidney yang deficiency with cold symptoms, accompanied by sore waist and knees, cold semen, clear urine, cold hands and feet.
[Dosage and administration] 10ml each time, twice daily.
[Preparation method] Slice the herbs, place in a muslin bag, soak in 4.5L of white wine, usable after twenty-one days.
[Precautions] Contraindicated for those with five palms heat, yellow urine, red tongue with little coating, fine rapid pulse.

The Bao Zhen Pill consists of: deer antler gelatin, eucommia, dried yam, chinaberry, poria, cooked rehmannia, dodder, cornus fruit, northern schisandra, cow knee, epimedium, alpinia, polygala, fennel, psoralea, trichosanthes, platycodon, whole scorpion, cistanche.
Xian Mao Wine
[Drug composition] Xian Mao
[Function and indications] Treats deficiency of essence and Qi, impotence, weak knees, waist pain, various deficiencies.
[Dosage and administration] Drink one or two cups in the morning and evening.
[Preparation method] Use Xian Mao, nine steaming and nine sun-drying, then soak in wine.
[Precautions] Avoid for those with yin deficiency and fire excess.

[Drug composition] Large pair shrimp one pair, white wine (60-degree) 250ml
[Function and indications] Reduced sexual function, impotence.

[Preparation method] Wash fresh large pair shrimp, place in a wide-mouth bottle or porcelain jar, add about 250ml of 60-degree white wine, seal and soak for one week.
